We had the privilege to have Mei Yee Chan, hydrogeologist turned WASH Specialist at World Toilet Organization at this month’s meet and greet session. We were also treated to a pleasant surprise when the Toilet Man himself, Jack Sim, the founder of WTO arrived to grace the event.
As a WASH specialist, Mei Yee led the discussion on sanitation issues around the world as well as the many challenges that communities face in adopting the use of toilets. She also shared some of WTO’s work and ongoing efforts to improve sanitation conditions especially in India and Cambodia through their Sanishop social enterprise, In the thick of discussion, Jack reminded everyone of the need to create open communication about sanitation to ignite conversations and create positive change.
We would like to thank Jack, Mei Yee and the rest of the WTO entourage for their support and the very useful souvenirs.
