Engineering Good Ltd (EG) is a Singapore-registered charity that unites a diverse community of staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and supporters with skills in technology, engineering, and other fields. Together, we serve disadvantaged and disability communities by enabling access to digital education and economic opportunities and equipping them to overcome daily challenges through innovative humanitarian engineering solutions. Our 2 key Tech For Good programmes are:

Thank you for your interest in donating!
We can only take in working laptops that are eligible for upgrade to Windows 11 following Microsoft’s announcement on the End of support for Windows 10. Please refer to Microsoft’s list here to determine if your laptops feature processors that support the upgrade to Windows 11.
Each device should come as a complete set with at least the following specs:
Cash donations are also greatly appreciated to keep our programmes running and the office lights on.
If you are an organisation and would like to contribute to our stockpile, kindly contact partnerships@engineeringgood.org. This way, EG can distribute these enterprise-grade laptops to our end-users. Such laptops tend to be more durable and more readily serviceable by EG and the community, ensuring that decommissioned devices go the distance.
The short: Prepare an asset list and email contactus@engineeringgood.org, then drop your laptops and chargers at our office during weekdays (10am – 6pm).
The long: Kindly prepare an asset list containing the information such as laptop brand, model, and specs. We seek your understanding to pack the laptops and chargers into cardboard boxes and deliver them to us as we do not have the resources to arrange delivery.
Apologies, we do not have the space to accumulate things for repair. As such, we recommend the following:
Engineering Good does not usually distribute refurbished laptops directly to individuals. Instead, we work through our network of community partners. Here are some organisations that you can approach: https://www.msf.gov.sg/our-services/directories#familytab.
Alternatively, do contact your family service centre or social service office to write to us. We will work with them and get the laptops to you.
We have a simple two-step process!
We are really honoured and grateful for any and all donations. Alas, we do not have the space to hoard host these items.
Rather than send them to us, do check out Pass-It-On and bless others with your preloved items!
If you need to dispose them, do drop your e-waste at sites listed under NEA. Above all, we ask that you consider the principle of dignity and remember that not all thrash is treasure.

Tech For Good (T4G) is an annual innovation challenge organised by Engineering Good. It is the only festival in Singapore that gathers youth innovator, tech professionals, and the disability community to create affordable, open-source assistive technology solutions for the disability community.
EG ran the festival over 5 years.
The theme for 2023 was inclusive employment held at the National Library @ Bugis featuring an inclusive marketplace, talks, performances, and more!
Visit the T4G 2023 website for more info on our past runs.
For 2024 – 2025, EG will focus on further developing past prototypes that emerged from the T4G festivals through our new programme: Tech For Good Accelerator! (Working in progress, please tahan!)
We are always looking for passionate volunteers who can share their skills. Please browse our opportunities here!
The Makerspace at Engineering Good focuses on tech for social good. Makers and projects that implement technology (digital or otherwise) to meet the needs of persons with disabilities are most welcome to use the space to develop concepts and prototypes. No prior experience is necessary for participation. However a willingness to learn from others and share knowledge and skills is a prerequisite. Diversity of skills and experience is most welcome. You don’t have to be a maker to work with makers.
Definitely! However, makers are required to build prototypes that support the disability community.
